LOCATION
 
Situated in a suburb location in the heart of old Nerja Town adjacent to the Balcon de Europa and a stone's throw from all Nerja beaches.  The area is full of cafes and is a delightful place to sit and watch the world go by.  For slightly more activity, wander through the maze of streets surrounding the Balcon de Europa which are abundant with shops, restaurants and bars.

Nerja / Central Nerja
The church of El Salvador is situated opposite the Balcon de Europa which is the hub and the heart of Nerja.
The caves of Nerja situated in a village called Maro, 3 km's from Nerja centre, were discovered in 1959 and they are the third most visited attraction in Spain.
Nerja has its fair share of fiestas the most spectacular ones being Carnaval, San Isidro, San Juan and Santa Carmen. In October the fair comes to town in the shape of the feria which lasts a full week with fairground, fun, dancing, food and drink.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Situated in Malaga province on the edge of the Costa Tropical. Nerja has its own micro-climate and having the mountains as a backdrop, is generally cooler in the summer and warmer in winter than the rest of the Costa del Sol.
In Moorish times the town was known as Naricha which means rich in water.
