Beaches

Nerja has many clean sandy beaches stretching to over 13 kilometres in total, with many of them being within easy reach of the town. Characterised by steep cliffs and some with Blue Flag awards, they offer water-skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling, pedal boats, windsurfing, as well as paragliding. Water temperatures vary from 18ºC in winter to 24ºC in summer, or if you prefer to let the kids have their way, there are two aqua parks approx. 15 kms away.

To the west, the first beach Nerja has to offer is the Playa El Playazo; this is used by windsurfers and bathers alike.
